Shopify merch
Sell your Shopify products as submission add-ons. Fans pay on Nero and claim the item for free in your store.
How it works
- A fan adds one of your products to their submission and pays on Nero. Nero keeps 10% of a merch add-on instead of its usual 20%, so 90% of what they pay is yours.
- If the product has sizes or colors, they pick one while they submit. Sold-out options cannot be picked.
- Nero creates a free order in your store for that option and emails them the checkout link. It also shows on their confirmation.
- They enter their shipping address and pay $0, shipping included. The order lands in your Shopify orders tagged
nero-merch-addon, and you ship it.
What you earn
Nero keeps 10% of merch add-ons, not the 20% it keeps on everything else, because the product and shipping cost are yours. Your profit is the 90% you receive minus what the item costs you. Sell a shirt that costs you $15 to make and ship as a $30 add-on: the fan pays $30 on Nero, $27 reaches you, the Shopify order comes through at $0, and you clear $12.
Connect your store
- In Settings, Developer, Shopify, enter your myshopify.com address, not your custom domain. It is in Shopify settings under Domains.
- Tap Connect Shopify and approve the Nero app. You land back in Nero connected.
- In a session’s add-ons, tap merch add-on and pick a product. Rename it and set your own price.
Connect with your own app instead
Rather not install the Nero app? Tap Connect manually instead on the same page and use your own.
- In Shopify app settings, click Create an app.
- Under Configuration, Admin API integration, turn on
read_productsandwrite_draft_orders, then save. - Install it, copy the Admin API access token (it starts with
shpat_), and paste it into Nero with your store domain. A wrong token or a missing permission is refused on save, with the reason.
Good to know
- Only active products show in the picker, priced from their cheapest option. Sold-out ones cannot be added.
- An add-on starts at the product's price, with a $5 minimum. A session holds up to 15 add-ons of any kind.
- Each claim link is for the exact size the fan picked, and purchased merch shows on their submission card in your queue.
- If a fan says the email never arrived, have them check spam. Claims nobody has opened sit in your Shopify draft orders, and support can recover a link.
- Disconnecting takes your products out of the picker. A session that already offers one keeps selling it, and those buyers get no claim link, so you send those yourself.
- You can connect Shopify and Fourthwall at the same time.
